MPTA Members went to Capitol Hill on February 29, 2012 to attend
MPTA’s 2012 Legislative Day
On February 29, 2012, MPTA hosted a Legislative Day which included PT informational booth and activities in the Rotunda of the Capitol to provide state legislators with information on the PT profession. Members also had the opportunity to visit their state legislator and talk about direct access and making adjustments to the repealer that is currently in place.

MPTA hosts a Legislative Breakfast

On March 7, 2012 MPTA were hosts to state legislators at the MPTA Legislative Breakfast to help build and foster relationships with state legislators to ensure success in our future PT legislative endeavors. Issues discussed included removal of the repealer for statutes within the physical therapy practice & inclusion of physical therapy in concussion management legislation
