MPTA is non-profit professional association with a membership of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and physical therapist/physical therapist assistant students. MPTA provides information on health care for consumers and services to its members.

Our goals are to meet the physical therapy needs of Mississippians, to provide informational and educational services for our members and to enhance the clinical, educational and research aspects of physical therapy.

The practice of physical therapy in Mississippi has been regulated by an independent board since July 1, 2002.
